about

The quest for peace.

Everyone who worked on the previous efforts for lulla's Vol's I-III has been fired. No Abe Lincoln on drums. Anna, Zsa Zsa, GONE. With S taking over duties as playing EVERYTHING. Mixing and mastering this bastard was just insane.

IV: With the recurring theme on the covers of the 'battle' between good and evil, I thought IV should open with something sounding quite angelic. And at times it reminds me of something coming from a little girls bedroom filled with dolls.

Sorcery 3: Ok, the mix sucks. I know. Singing sucks too. Sorry about that, chief. These lyrics are part Del Griffith sitting in the train station alone and Charles Grodin and Robert De Niro catching a train in midnight run. Oh yeah.

Penn/Complex Bomber: The first 'single'. HAHA. Earning our 'explicit lyric' sticker on this one. Idol worship. When your perceived reality becomes reality. The way that I say, 'Bathe' on this thing is so...ANNOYING!

Telescope: Why is this called 'telescope'? I'm looking for my 'Medical instrument'. No idea. Couldn't tell you. There were more lyrics, but were ridiculous and scrapped. This has a lot of different parts to it. Piano break down. And some psychedelic breaks unlocking different dimensions.

Priscilla Presley: These lyrics are about cheating in a card game in an arcade. Seriously? Seriously. Guaranteed to give you a splitting headache.

Sacrilege: About lots of different thangs. Drums sound so-so. Could have mixed better and that damn snare is not my favorite. That little megaphone or whatever it is towards the end of the song when I'm screaming reminds me of Beck's megaphone on Odelay. I think it's on hotwax. A common misheard lyric (and I mean by me) is, 'Can't find change, just treasure' is 'Can't find Jane, just treasure.'

Penn/Jason is the devil (radio edit): This is the radio edit of 'Penn' with all the bad words (well, most of them, it's a PG now) removed with a completely different outro mixed just especially for the radio and rejected by the radio by some pretentious twat.

S - Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards

Dedicated to Charles Grodin 1935-2021.
